Gyro aiming provides much finer control than thumbsticks alone. Our tests with professional gamers showed an good improvement in accuracy when using gyro+thumbsticks versus thumbsticks only. The controller allows simultaneous use of both - use the thumbstick for broad movements and subtle wrist motions for precise aiming, similar to how mouse+keyboard players aim on PC.
